Nature in Balance...The Vulture
Artist
: C. Shark Lambdin
From: Salida, CO
Location: S. Public Rd. North of E. Cleveland St
Medium: forged and fabricated steel
Price: $14,000
Artist Statement: Nature is all about physics: Fish swim, birds fly, and different locomotions abound. By studying the forces inherent in movement and the way that form follows function we develop a better understanding of the world around us and the creatures which inhabit it. I’ve been integrating these motions and the physics involved for some time. By using the forces of wind, gravity, and balance we can create the illusion of life and personality. Awareness and familiarity carry the seeds of conservation like the wind which moves my work.
