10/29-11/2 - Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)
This is a celebration on November 1st and 2nd to honor the dead. It coincides with All Saints Day and All Souls Day. We will create an ofrenda (altar) at the Senior Center with photos and memorabilia of our deceased loved ones. You are welcome to contribute a remembrance between October 29th and 31st. The altar will be on display on November 1. Those that are on display will need to be picked up on November 2 afternoon before 4pm. 10/31 - Halloween Dance Party - 3:00-4:30pm Wednesday
Join us in costume, or not, for tricks, treats and dancing!.
10/29 - Mardi Gras Casino - Blackhawk 8:30am-4:30pm Monday
The casino package includes $5 free play on card, free drinks while gambling and $5 food voucher. You must use your player card to earn points and receive package. Fee includes transportation. Pick up is at Erie Community Center, 450 Powers St. Registration deadline is October 18.
10/16 - Low Vision Peer Support Group 1:00-2:00pm Tuesday
Connect with peers to create a community, maintain hope and process frustration and sadness during the transition to living with visual impairments. Sponsored by the Center for People with Disabilities.
10/19 - Medicare Part D Open Enrollment Clinics 9:00am-12:00pm Friday
Get one-on-one help to review your policy, get signed up for a new part D supplement or discuss your options with a Boulder County Area Agency on Aging Medicare Counselor during Medicare Open Enrollment. Sessions are 45 minutes and fill quickly. Couples should schedule separate time slots.
