8/30-9/5 - Senior Artist Showcase
Artists 55 and older, display your artwork in the community and enjoy the work of other community members. Artwork must be wired and ready to hand and labeled on the back with the artist's name and category. For more information, contact the Senior center at 303-661-1492.
9/17-9/18 Fall Prevention Week 2:00-4:00pm Monday & Tuesday
One in Four Americans aged 65+ falls each year. Falls are the leading cause of fatal injury and the most common cause of nonfatal trauma-related hospital admissions among older adults. Reduce your risk by taking advantage of these Fall Prevention services and experiential activities. Snacks and drinks provided. No registration required. Prizes and giveaways.

Learn how Reiki Meditation and vocal sound helps devlop the power of your presence and assist in distressing and relaxing just to name a few benefits. Registration required.
9/5-9/26 - Tai Chi (Intermediate) 11:00am-12:00pm Wednesday
This course offers deep bending and more complex movements, as well as more of the Simplified 37 Posture Forms as taught by Cheng Maching. Registration required.
9/6-9/27 - Tai Chi (Beginner) 11:00am-12:00pm Thursday
Tai Chi is easy and gentle and develops body awareness that can help seniors to keep their balance. Registration required.
9/10-10/15 - Ageless Grace 10:00-10:45am Monday
Timeless fitness for the body and brain. Learn and enjoy the 21 movement tools that stimulate all five functions areas of the brain and body health with fun and gentle exercise. $12 for a session of 6 classes or Free with a Silversneakers pass.
9/27-11/15 - Matter of Balance 1:00-3:00pm Thursday
Because a fall can have devastating consequences, it is not surprising that many older adults become quite afraid of falling. This program sponsored by Boulder County Area Agency on Aging. Please call 303-441-3599 to register. No charge to Boulder County residents 60 and over and their caregivers.
9/11 - Peru: Ancient Land of Mysteries - Collette Vacations Presentation 1:00-2:00pm Tuesday
Learn more about this trip to the land of fantastic archeological treasures set amidst the soaring Andean peaks. Registration deadline is September 4.
9/14 - Community Summer Project on Display
The assembled puzzle titled "This is Aging in Lafayette" will be on display at the final Art Night Out on Friday September 14 and afterwards at the Lafayette Senior Center at 103 S. Iowa Ave.
9/7 - Grandparents Day Picnic - Waneka Lake 11:00am-1:00pm Friday
Get together with grandchildren and participate in activities that are friendly for all generations. If you would like to participate in our Fun Friday potluck, please bring a dish to share. Maximum 3 children per adult registrant. Registration deadline is September 4.
9/24 - Mardi Gras - Black Hawk 8:30am-4:30pm Monday
The casino package includes $5 free play on card, free drinks while gambling and $5 food voucher. You must use your player card to earn points and receive package. Meals are on your own. Fee includes charter bus transportation. Pick up is at Erie Community Center, 450 Powers St. Registration deadline is September 7.
9/19 - Leadville Trip with Erie - 8:00am-6:30pm Wednesday
Tour the Mining Hall of Fame and Museum, Healy House & Dexter Cabin, Leadville Colorado & Southern Railroad and much more. Meals, museums and train ride are on your own. We will be traveling on a Coach Bus, fee includes transportation. Registration deadline is September 5.
9/25 - Botanic Gardens - Denver 10:00am-4:00pm Tuesday
Enjoy the wide range of plants from all corners of the world during the transition to fall. Wear clothing for the weather. Please bring water and money for lunch at the gardens. Registration deadline is September 11.
9/6 - Be an Organ Donor: Save a Life or Support Research 6:00-7:30pm Thursday
Organ donation for transplant and whole body and organ donation for research are often misunderstood and feared. Experts from Donor Alliance, The Colorado Anatomical Board and Lone Tree and will help you understand the nuances and answer questions like "Can I get a free cremation?" and “Aren't I too old to donate my organs?”

Improve your skills, increase safety and become eligible for a premium discount on your insurance. Open to all individuals 50+. Certification is valid for 3 years.

The staff of Family Hearing provide free audiology services such as ears checked and cleaned, hearing aids inspected and cleaned, and hearing screenings.

9/18 - Low Vision Peer Support Group 1:00-2:00pm Tuesday
Monthly Peer Support Group helps you connect with peers to create a community, maintain hope, and process frustration and sadness during the transition to living with visual impairments. Sponsored by the Center for People with Disabilities.

9/25 - Q & A with Boulder County District Attorney Representative 1:00-2:00pm Tuesday
Ask questions, voice your concerns about public safety, and learn about the mission and programs offered by the DA's office with a representative for Michael Dougherty, new District Attorney in Boulder County.
9/25 - Dementia Support Group for Adult Children 6:00-7:30pm Tuesday
This free drop-in program is for adult children who have parents with Alzheimer's or another form of dementia. For more information, contact the Alzheimer’s Association 800-272-3900.
