Art Night Out will also feature The Art Market, a distinctive shopping experience with a wide variety of locally made arts and fine crafts.  These creative goods will be available for purchase from 30+ different local vendors and artists. Art Night Out visitors can also enjoy surprising flash mobs, live demonstrations by artists, crafters, dancers, and street performers.
Art Night Out is a free, family-friendly community event that takes place from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on the second Friday, May through September, in Old Town Lafayette.  The Art Market, ARTSLafayette beer & wine garden, children's activities and food trucks open at 5pm.  The free concert starts at 6:30 pm.

"This is Aging in Lafayette” 

Older Adults are an active, vibrant part of life in Lafayette and they make up many pieces of the puzzle that makes Lafayette a wonderful place to live, work and play. Help us demonstrate this by designing a puzzle piece that shows what “Aging in Lafayette” means to you.  Submissions from artists of any age are accepted and should feature what “Aging in Lafayette” means to the artist. 
June 8 – August 10 Pick up a blank puzzle piece at the Recreation Center, Lafayette Senior Center and Art Night Out events.
August 31 deadline for submissions to the Lafayette Senior Center or the Recreation Center
September 14 (the final Art Night Out) The assembled puzzle titled “This is Aging in Lafayette” will be on display, and afterwards at the Lafayette Senior Center (103 S. Iowa Ave.)

Do you enjoy the outdoors and photography? Would you like to improve your ability to capture beautiful images of wildlife, plants, landscapes and the rest of the great outdoors? Join acclaimed Lafayette photographer, Gerry Morrell to learn techniques on how to make your nature and wildlife photographs "works of art" as opposed to boring "snap shots".  Gerry is a third generation Coloradoan who has been photographing wildlife and nature for four decades. His passion is being out in nature and photographing the "back roads", of the American West. For more about Gerry:

17th year of summer sessions and camps in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, pre-school and adult tap and ballet. June 4 through the end of July. Call for Artists and Poets!  The Lafayette Cultural Resources announces a Call for Artists and Poets for the 2018 See & Respond Art Show.  Poets and 2-D artists of all kinds and all ages are invited to See & Respond to the 2018 Lafayette Art on the Street sculpture collection by writing poems or creating 2-D works of art in any medium that are inspired by any of the 2018 Art on the Street sculptures.
