Location: 103 S. Iowa
Medium: stained glass, Thinset concrete, grout, steel
Price: $12,000
Artist Statement
I like the idea of a flame that is always different in varying lighting conditions. I have strived to capture all of the colors of that dance for just a flicker of time in Flame Dance.
I welcome all that come upon the sculpture to take time to view the intimate play of colors reflecting and refracting off of the iridescent and solid glass mosaic. I create durable mosaic sculptures using recycled glass. Mosaics last for decades with minimal upkeep, just a yearly wash of sealant is all that is needed for longevity. Through my art I hope to help lift the spirits and give the viewer a mesmerizing visual element to focus on when passing by.
