As we approach the Fourth of July holiday, remember all fireworks are illegal in Lafayette and can result in citations and fines. Please be courteous to your neighbors and pets by following the City ordinance. You can report use of fireworks to the Lafayette Police Department at 303-441-4444. Report the disturbance at the time you hear or witness it in order to help officers locate the activity in a timely manner.
The Waneka Lake Boathouse will be open on July 4 from 10am-4pm. Stand up paddleboard and kayak rentals are available by pre-registering at this link: cityoflafayette.com/Boathouse .
The Indian Peaks Golf Course will be open on July 4 dawn to dusk weather permitting. Visit indianpeaksgolf.com to book a tee time.
Celebrate the holiday at home
Due to concerns about the potential for an increase in COVID cases as people gather together to observe the Fourth of July holiday, Coloradans are urged to celebrate at home with family. Please be sure to follow all health guidelines including maintaining social distancing and wearing face coverings.
