[ARCHIVED] Mosquito Control Application - Waneka Lake & Heron Lake Trail June 4th and 5th

Vector Disease Control International (VDCI) will be conducting a mosquito control application at Waneka Lake on Thursday, June 4th after 10pm and Heron Lake Trail on Friday, June 5th between 10am-2pm.  These will take place weather permitting. To report mosquito problems or concerns please call VDCI at 888-774-2161 or visit www.vdci.net/colorado. The City of Lafayette contracts with VDCI to conduct surveillance of adult mosquito populations and to provide limited adult mosquito control when pre-determined disease and annoyance thresholds have been surpassed. The goal is to provide the greatest level of pest control and disease vector mosquito populations while maintaining a balanced use of cultural, biological, and least-toxic chemical procedures that are environmentally compatible and economically feasible.
