Lafayette Recreation and Senior Center Program Update May 15, 2020.

Coronavirus COVID-19 (8)

May 15, 2020

Lafayette Recreation goes live this week with the Grand Opening of the Bob Burger VIRTUAL Recreation Center.

Information on our inaugural event, the Virtual Fishing Derby, can be found on the ‘Things To Do’ page in our Virtual Rec Center. Join us to learn a little bit about fishing and even enter a contest!

You can also fight off the “Quarantine 15” weight gain in live classes on our virtual fitness page, or connect with people in virtual social programs including a book club, social hour, lunch buddies, walking club, and fitness contests.

We continue to monitor guidelines from the health department, and will be careful and intentional in how we reopen onsite programs and facilities. Your safety, health and wellness remain our highest priority.

We miss you at Bob L. Burger Recreation Center and hope you will connect with us at Bob’s Virtual Rec Center!

Lafayette Recreation is committed to serving Lafayette during the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are working every day to provide resources for use at home to be healthy, fit, and engaged. While our in-person recreation services are unavailable, visit the City of Lafayette Recreation website. We are regularly updating activities for all ages online including crafts, online tours, and motivation to help you maintain your fitness goals.

Recent updates to guidelines from the state have led us to finalize cancellations of spring programs.  Information about specific cancellations and refunds will be provided to registered participants.  Summer program registrations are pending.  As updates from the state and county are released, we will provide information on program and facility status.

The Summer 2020 Activity Guide will not be printed or mailed and is only available online here: Summer 2020 Activity Guide. Complete a FREE Interest Registration for all spring and summer activities here: Online Registration. We will not collect registration fees until we are able to confirm the program will be offered.

We miss you at Bob L. Burger Recreation Center and want you to stay safe, be well, and connect with us online.
