[ARCHIVED] No parking on a portion of E. Simpson for snow removal on FRIDAY, November 29 (4:00am-8:00am)

No Parking sign snow removal Simpson

No parking on a portion of E. Simpson for snow removal on FRIDAY, November 29 (4:00am-8:00am)

A NO PARKING SNOW ROUTE will be in effect beginning (FRIDAY, November 29 at 4:00am) during these efforts. Signs will be placed advising drivers when the 4:00am-8:00am no parking hours will be in effect. THIS WILL BE A TOW AWAY ZONE and cars will be removed if drivers choose to ignore the signage. This zone will be in effect only during the hours of 4:00am-8:00am when the signs are in place.

During a snow event, Public Works crews will first plow the City's primary and secondary routes, and then place the No Parking Snow Route signs along Simpson. At 4:00am they will return to "windrow" the snow (push the snow into a pile down the middle of the street). Once other plowing efforts from the remaining areas of town are complete, available crews will return with front-end loaders and dump trucks to physically remove the windrow.

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation. To be kept up to date of future Snow Route designations, sign up for Public Works and City News Flashes at www.cityoflafayette.com/NotifyMe
