$2,000 historic building improvement grants available for Lafayette homes

**Application period extended to July 19, 2019**

The Historic Preservation Board is offering two competitive grants of up to $2,000 for a historic building improvement project. To be eligible, buildings must be at least 50 years old and located within Lafayette city limits. The project must meet one or more of the following criteria:  

  • Helps extend the life of the building
  • Keeps historic materials intact to the extent possible
  • Removes non-historic features or materials to expose historic ones

Applications are available online or may be picked up at the Planning & Building Department, 1290 S. Public Road.  

The application deadline is July 19, 2019.
