The City of Lafayette has partnered with Energy Outreach Colorado, Boulder County Energy Smart, and Funding Partners to help you make your home more comfortable, healthier, and more efficient! This unique program provides income qualified Lafayette homeowners with the upfront costs to make energy improvements on their home. The loans are low cost, easy to qualify for, and repaid on your City water bill.
4 Easy Steps to Comfort and Energy Savings:
- Contact EnergySmart at 303-544-1000 to get started. Find out if you are eligible based on the income criteria, and explore your home improvement opportunities (see income qualification tables below) Note: to be eligible you must own your home and live in a single family, townhome, condo, or manufactured home in Lafayette City limits.
- Apply for an on-bill loan through our financing partner, Funding Partners. You can apply for low-interest loans (only 1.5% APR) ranging from $1,000 -$5,000. The application fee is $25.
- Once you qualify for financing, schedule a Home Energy Assessment to understand the ways your home is leaking energy. The assessment upfront cost is $185 (a $450 value). If you complete a home improvement project and close on a loan, the $185 will be refunded to you! Your EnergySmart Advisor will help you review contractor bids and find all available rebates for your energy upgrade.
- Close the loan and pay off the home energy improvement project over time via your City utility bill. There are no closing costs. It couldn’t be easier!
This program will be available to a limited number of Lafayette residents through December 1, 2019. To see if you qualify or to get information about saving energy call EnergySmart at 303-544-1000.
