[ARCHIVED] "Fresh Start" event on April 13 at the Boulder County Justice Center

The District Attorney’s Office has announced the “Fresh Start” program to provide an opportunity for eligible offenders to resolve their outstanding warrants. The program is designed to give those with active warrants stemming from non-violent and low-level misdemeanor or traffic cases an opportunity to move toward a resolution in their case. This program is a collaborative effort between the Boulder DA’s Office, the defense bar, judges, and the Sheriff’s Office.

The “Fresh Start” event will be held at the Boulder County Justice Center on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. At that time, individuals with warrants in qualifying cases can speak with a representative from the District Attorney’s Office to either resolve the case or set the case for a new court date. Regardless of the outcome on that day, the warrant for the individuals’ arrest will be vacated if they appear for court on Saturday, April 13, 2019.

The April event will also have volunteers, attorneys from the Boulder County Criminal Defense Bar, and immigration attorneys to help answer questions. The event does not require an appointment to be made in advance.

The Boulder Municipal Court also will host a similar event on April 13, 2019. Please contact the City Attorney at (303) 441-3025 to inquire as to eligibility. Eligibility guidelines are posted on the District Attorney’s website: or call (303) 441-3700.
