Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann is the title selected for the 8th annual On The Same Page (OTSP) community one-book program. Every year the communities of Lafayette, Louisville, and Superior join together to ask, "What would happen if everyone read the same book at the same time?"
This year’s title, named as a New York Times top ten non-fiction title in 2017, investigates a series of murders of indigenous Osage people in the early 1920s—after oil deposits were discovered beneath their land.
More than 100 books are available at Lafayette and Louisville libraries, thanks to funding by the Lafayette and Louisville library foundations and the Town of Superior. Formats include: Book club sets, books on CD, downloadable e-books, books in large print, and Spanish versions.
Read the book this summer, and join the conversations in the fall!
