Final Community Input Meeting for the Legacy Lafayette Comp Plan

Thursday, February 27, 2020

This is an important community meeting to review the direction of the Comprehensive Plan.

Final Community Input Meeting for the Legacy Lafayette Comp Plan process

The Lafayette community will have the opportunity to continue providing input on the Legacy Lafayette Comprehensive Plan on several occasions through June 2020. The third and final community meeting to review the preferred direction for the various components of the Comprehensive Plan will be held on Thursday, February 27, from 6 to 8:30, at Angevine Middle School. This will be an important community meeting, to review the direction of the Comprehensive Plan as the effort moves toward creating the final document.

Content from the February 27 meeting will be available on the Legacy Lafayette website (www.legacylafayette.org) in March. The content will remain online for several weeks to allow individuals unable to attend the meeting to review and provide input on the preferred direction of the plan at their convenience.

Following this third and final community meeting, the consultant team will be working on the draft version of the Comprehensive Plan document, drawing from the community input over the last 12 months.

Tentative next step dates
  • Draft document online for public review mid- April
  • Work session to review the draft document with the Planning Commission and City Council in late April
  • Planning Commission approval hearing in May
  • City Council approval hearing in June.
These timeframes are tentative. The community will be invited to these work sessions and hearings to provide input on the actual document. In addition to these meetings, input from the public is welcome via email at info@legacylafayette.org .
