There are five seats on the Lafayette City Council up for election this November. If you’re planning on running, or just thinking about it, this event is for you. City Administrator Fritz Sprague, City Clerk Susan Koster, and Department Directors will host a public gathering to discuss the organization and function of Lafayette’s Council/Manager form of government and what it’s like to serve as elected official.

There are five seats on the Lafayette City Council up for election this November. If you’re planning on running, or just thinking about it, this event is for you!
Presenters will cover the structure of Lafayette’s government, the purpose of the City Charter, services provided by City departments, responsibilities of the City Council, and how to get started with your run for Council. There will be a question and answer period for any resident or potential candidate.
The meeting will be from 6:00 – 7:30 pm on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 1290 South Public Road.
