Be a Part of Art in Lafayette!

The Lafayette Cultural Resources Department is looking for artists to submit work for the following programs:

Arts in Education Grants  - call is open, deadline is August 25, 2020

Local teachers may apply for a grant to support arts or culture-related projects geared towards students within the community. Each year the LCAC will determine the total amount of funding available and the maximum grant award amount. Find out more about Arts in Education Grants. 

City Gallery Walls

The Lafayette Arts & Cultural Resources Department schedules artists and arts organizations to display their work on city gallery walls for 2-month long exhibitions. The City of Lafayette has three facilities with beautiful gallery walls to display artwork on a rotating basis: Senior Center, City Hall and Lafayette Library. 24 artists or artist collaborations will have the opportunity for an exhibition each year. This program is on hold due to the COVID 19 health crisis.

Michael Adams Poetry Prize

After careful consideration, the Cultural Arts Commission and ARTS!Lafayette are changing the event honoring Michael Adam’s poetry legacy to a reading/spoken word presentation by a distinguished Colorado poet.

Lafayette Youth Poetry Prize

The Lafayette Cultural Arts Commission hosts the annual Lafayette Youth Poetry Prize, for English and Spanish Language poets grades K - 8. Call is closed until the Spring of 2021. Complete details can be found at
