The annexation petition/application for this project has been formally withdrawn by the applicant. The City will take no further action on the annexation or rezoning application.
The Leven property owner is proposing an Annexation, Re-Zoning, and Sketch Plan Review for a residential subdivision of approximately 34.4 acres in unincorporated Boulder County. The development is intended to include a mix of single-family and townhome lots with approximately 87 dwelling units.
Along with the annexation, the applicant is requesting zoning to DR (Developing Resource). The property will have to be rezoned in the future to a designation that would support the proposed development as indicated on the sketch plan. The property is located in the Lafayette Urban Growth Boundary and includes a land use designation of ‘Low Density Residential’.
Annexation Petition The first step in the process of an annexation request is for the property owner to submit an annexation petition. City Council will accept or deny the petition based on the completeness of the petition. If the petition is accepted, that means it will move forward to step two, which is the determination of whether or not the property is eligible for annexation. Step three involves a public hearing on the annexation and zoning ordinance.
Public comment on the Sketch Plan will be taken at the Planning Commission public hearing on April 24, 2018. Public comment on the Annexation/Re-Zoning will be taken at the City Council meeting on May 15, 2018.
