Group Fitness Class Description
►ALL LEVELS YOGA In this class, the relationship between breath and movement is explored. You will be guided through a sequence of familiar postures with the option to increase body awareness, range of motion, flexibility and strength. New asanas may be introduced for those desiring advanced postures. The fundamentals of alignment and breathing principles will always be refreshed and revisited.
►GENTLE YOGA A calming, slower-paced, stress-relieving class that will help you to stretch and strengthen your body through gentle flowing movements that will enable you to connect breath, body and mind.
►KIDS & FAMILY YOGA Enjoy a relaxing and fun class with your child through yoga, partner yoga, interactive songs, games, and stories. Yoga enhances flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness as well as a child’s focus and ability to calm themselves. Parents will need to accompany their 4-5 year old children. 6-10 year olds can attend the class by themselves, but the parent/caregiver must remain in the building. These classes are held the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
►PRENATAL YOGA Designed to help expectant mothers increase flexibility and strength, connect with other expectant mothers, and prepare for childbirth through breathing exercises and a moderate yoga flow focusing on opening the hips and spine
►RESTORATIVE YOGA This is your practice for inner peace, healing and rejuvenation. You will hold poses longer in this class to decrease stress on your body and allow your muscle fascia to release. All levels are welcome.
►RISE AND SHIINE YOGA An all levels class that offers guided movements to quiet the mind, build strength, balance and overall flexibility that will leave you feeling relaxed and re-energized and ready to start your day.
►SLOW FLOW YOGA Looking for a gently entry into the weekend? Slow, flowing yoga poses will help you to wind down from the week’s stressors. Aches and pains will be released and you’ll leave feeling rejuvenated.
►YOGA FLOW Improve your sense of self-awareness, balance and harmony with yourself and your environment by focusing on synchronizing movement with breath. Practice traditional and flowing yoga poses, breathing exercises, and gentle vinyasas slowly and mindfully to promote deep relaxation and a healthy body and mind.
►DEEP WATER AEROBICS Excellent conditioning, muscle toning, flexibility and fat burning. The water environment provides great resistance and a low-impact workout.
►HIGH-INTENSITY WATER AEROBICS This class includes more intense cardio drills, muscle toning and flexibility, and is a great way to increase your aerobic capacity, and to be challenged. While more difficult than Shallow Water Aerobics, this class is still low-impact and gentle on the joints.
►RIVER WALKING & YOGA River Walking in the Lazy River with and against the current is an excellent way to tone your muscles and increase stamina. The first half of class incorporates exercises to help strengthen your body, the second half of class utilizes water yoga poses to increase flexibility and improve balance and stability.
►SHALLOW WATER AEROBICS Low-impact class using water's natural resistance for minimal stress on the joints to promote fitness/toning and increase energy.

►WATER FITNESS Jump right into our water fitness class and build up your cardiovascular fitness and strength. Just like swimming, our water fitness class are easy on your joints, yet challenging enough to help you reach new levels of fitness. Because of the low-impact format, water fitness are suitable for every age and fitness level, from beginning exercisers through elite athletes. Water fitnesss is a swimming blend of cardio and resistance training, and may incorporate resistance tools such as buoyant water weights and noodles.
►BOOT CAMP H20 is a high intensity, low impact water class that is fun, fast and effective. Using a variety of buoyancy and resistance equipment, you will get a workout like no other. Set to motivating music, you will work harder than you ever imagined in water, yet we cater to individuals with different fitness levels, ages and abilities. This class is designed to get you fit fast, tone muscles and burn fat. It's great for cardio, muscle strengthening, core stability and improving posture.
►WATER WALKING introduces new exercise variables such as buoyancy, water resistance, and heat exchange between your body and water that may add to the benefits you get out of exercising in water. Buoyancy in water - this is the floating part about being in water, this is helpful in building better balance. Water pressure and resistance - just by being in water can improve circulation and even burn off fat. Temperature of water - due to difference in your temperature and that of water you burn more calories. Walking in water makes a great aerobic workout that helps put your body in the fat burning zone. Water buoyancy reduces the burden that the exercises have on your body making it more enjoyable while you burn more calories and fat.
Water Walking can be registered as a stand alone class, or added on to either Water Aerobics or Boot Camp H20 for a discounted rate. The discount is automatically applied once you enroll either of the other courses and then go to enroll in water walking.
►FITMAT H20 Enjoy integrating the practice of yoga with water on an inflatable, floating yoga mat called a FitMat! These all level classes will start off slowly using alignment techniques to set us up for success. We'll gradually flow into more challenging postures, with options to modify. Just like the ebb and flow of water, the practice will invite stability, strength, and calm. All equipment provided. Swimsuit or tightly fitted yoga clothes recommended. Bring dry clothes and a towel.

►STANDUP PADDLEBOARD YOGA Classes are taught by a full-qualified instructor, cover the basics of maneuvering on a board and the keys to accessing yoga postures on the water. SUP Yoga classes are appropriate for all levels of participants from the beginner to the advanced (both yoga and paddleboard) and the full range in between. Prices include board and life vest rental. No personal watercraft are allowed on Waneka Lake. Come try this fun, challenging, calming and empowering yoga experience.
►BODYCOMBAT Step into a BODYCOMBAT workout and you’ll punch and kick your way to fitness, burning up to 740 calories along the way. This high-energy martial-arts inspired workout is totally non-contact and there are no complex moves to master. BodyCombat works your legs, tones your arms, back and shoulders and provides phenomenal core training. You destroy calories, develop coordination, agility and speed and walk away feeling empowered.
►BODYPUM is a barbell workout for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. It will burn calories and increase your core strength and improve bone health. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more.

►BUTTS & GUTS Are you looking for a quick, challenging workout to shape your glutes and tone your abs? This is the class for you! Hit your target zones with 45-minutes of core strengthening, buns and thighs toning FUN! This class is setup in cardio/strength intervals so you can burn calories and get toned!
►CARDIO STEP What will you have achieved by the end of this class? Calories burned, legs and butt toned and shaped, coordination and agility improved! You will improve your brain and body with a choreographed cardiovascular routine, a short upper body weight section and ab work. If you have never taken a step class before feel free to attend the Intro to Step class first to learn some of the moves used in this class.
►CORE Looking to achieve more? Don’t forget your core! Spend 30 minutes in a quick, intense workout using bodyweight exercises to tighten and strengthen your abs and core.
►CYCLE 60/ CYCLE 45 Come enjoy the ride. Whether you are riding for cardiovascular health or training for a race this class will get you there! These classes provide something for everyone: intervals, rolling hills, sprints, and climbs all to motivating and inspiring music. Along the way you will burn calorie and increase endurance. If you are new to cycling, arrive a few minutes early for the instructor to show you proper bike setup.

►HIIT High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is 30 minutes of total body, heart pumping, aerobic and bodyweight strength conditioning. This class is a great option for anyone looking to quickly burn calories and reduce fat, improve endurance and overall fitness level. Short bursts of intense effort are alternated with moderate to low, active recovery. Beginners to seasoned exercises will be challenged by this class with various options to scale the workout to your fitness level
►INTRO TO STEP Improve your brain and body with a simple and repetitive choreographed cardiovascular routine that utilizes intervals and modifications to help you build the intensity of this fun workout. Burn calories, tone and shape legs and butt, improve your coordination and agility.
►TRX Group Suspension Training A fast, effective, total-body workout leveraging bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. If that isn’t enough, you can also build a rock-solid core and increase muscular endurance! This class is benefits people of all fitness levels because you can control how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise simply by adjusting your body position.

►TRX Rip Training Ignite your Core. Train or rehabilitate your body to enhance your movement in daily life or sports using a three-dimensional, functional training tool that uses off-set elastic resistance and a weighted bar to create an asymmetric load for explosive core and cardio training.
►YOGA/PILATES/STRENGTH An all levels class that offers basic exercises stemming from a variety of disciplines such as yoga, Pilates, and strength training. Improve strength, enhance flexibility and walk away feeling on top of the world.
►POWER FITNESS Classes are a fun and challenging way to get your body into peak shape! Each group session is led by a Certified Personal Trainer to help give you the results, training and inspiration you need to help meet your personal fitness goals. With each session you get a highly effective and motivating workout focusing on strength training with an intense cardio complement to eliminate the boredom of getting and staying in shape by incorporating creativity and variability into a total body workout. You will be integrating free weights, machines, toning work and a wide range of track and outdoor drills (seasonally). Bottom line – its good, hard fun! NEW! ►NORDIC WALKING gives you the FREEDOM to EXERCISE ANYWHERE at the right level. Nordic Walking is a walking class that uses walking poles to help you gain more muscular strength than conventional walking. This class will take you on an outdoor experience on local streets and trails where you can not only increase your cardio-respiratory fitness and muscular strength/endurance, but have fun in a social setting as well!
