Artist: Jim Choate
Location: 106 S. Public Rd; NW Corner of Public and Cleveland
Materials: Plate Steel
Artists Statement: Man Eater was intended to give the viewer an up close and personal idea of the average size of a young adult Great White Shark.
While looking at it, one might imagine the force behind the 14 foot hungry sea monster striking its unaware prey from the depths below at a speed of 35 miles per hour.
The idea behind the "Man Eater" is that it not only is interesting to ponder, but is useful beyond the visual that it offers. Please feel free to park and lock up your bike in the belly of this predator before going into your favorite nearby shop or restaurant.
