Overview
The Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on land use issues such as rezoning, subdivisions, planned unit developments, and site and architectural plan reviews. The Commission also makes decisions on special use reviews. Two members of the Commission also serve as liaisons to the Lafayette Open Space Advisory Committee and Historic Preservation Board. The Commission meets on the fourth Tuesday and following Wednesday of each month at 7 pm.  Members serve four-year terms.

Planning Commission Openings
The City of Lafayette is seeking residents interested in serving on the Planning Commission.  Apply by June 5, 2013 at 3:00 pm.

Requirements
Interested citizens must be registered voters and resided in Lafayette for one (1) full year and will need to submit the Planning Commissioner Application form along with a resume.  The application and job description are available here and at the Community Development Department at City Hall. 

Apply by June 5
Submit a letter of interest addressed to the Mayor and City Council along with your completed application and resume to the Community Development Department at City Hall, 1290 S. Public Rd. by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013.
