Coal Creek/Rock Creek Trail - Eastern Link
Trail Construction
**Please note that this important regional trail project is not yet complete due to construction and engineering challenges north of the county line. A significant portion of the trail south of the Boulder/Weld county line is now open. The Town of Erie is working to complete the Weld Co. portion of the project so that excited trail users can enjoy the new connections to the north by mid-summer.**

The Eastern Link trail segment starts at the northern terminus of the Rock Creek Regional Trail in Vista Business Park near 120th Street in Lafayette. This segment ends at Vista Parkway in Erie. The Eastern Link is approximately four miles long, with a crusher fine surface, with bridges spanning Coal and Rock Creeks, and an underpass at SH-7 and Coal Creek.

The trail traverses through open space property jointly owned by the City of Lafayette and Boulder County known as "Two Creeks" Open Space. It also passes through a right-of-way owned by the Colorado Department of Transportation, property owned by the City of Lafayette and the Town of Erie.
