What is Lafayette Quest?
Lafayette Quest is a brand new community event engaging participants in a fun and exciting activity. Teams of 2-4 will strategize their way through a traditional scavenger hunt by following clues, participating in healthy challenges, and utilizing smart phone technology. Teams will check in at activity/checkpoint stations and perform silly human tricks to receive clues to get them to the next station. Along the way, QR codes will be incorporated to allow teams to earn extra points and uncover additional clues. Prizes will be awarded to teams who finish first, accumulate the most points, and wear the best uniforms/costumes!
Childhood Obesity
Childhood obesity is at an all-time high. The idea behind LafayetteQuest is to partner with schools, low-income health programs, and community groups to provide free access to the Recreation Center for admissions, programs, and classes which in turn will encourage and support active, healthy, lifestyle habits in our community.
100 PERCENT of all proceeds will go directly into a fund that will be made available for youth scholarships at the Bob L. Burger Recreation Center.
When and where will the Lafayette Quest be held?
- the next event will be held September 28, 2013
- 9:00-11:00
- The event will begin and end at the Bob L. Burger Recreation Center
- The scavenger hunt route boundary will include; Baseline to the North, Hwy 287 to the West, So Boulder Rd to the South, and So Public Rd to the East.
What does it cost and how do I register:
- Remember -- 100% of all registration proceeds will be placed into the Youth Scholarship Fund!
- Registration Fee is $20 per person
- Race Day registration is $30 and begins at 8:00am
