General Overview & Election Organization
The city clerk serves as the election official for the City of Lafayette and is responsible for the administration of general and special elections.  Additionally, citizen-initiated recalls, initiatives, and referendums are submitted to the City Clerk's Office.

The city participates in coordinated elections with Boulder County for regular municipal elections in an effort to minimize costs and improve service to Lafayette citizens.
