Information Regarding Coal Creek/Rock Creek Regional Trail:

Regional trail information
on BoulderCounty.org - find helpful flood damage details and information as it pertains to county trails

December 2014
We are pleased to announce that all trails in the City of Lafayette are open for use without any restrictions, detours or bypasses.  The destruction of the trails by the 2013 flood is now behind us.  Contractors and City staff have provided tremendous effort in the restoration project which has taken over a year to complete.

Many thanks to Rob Burdine, Open Space Superintendent, Matt Espinoza, Open Space staff member and Boulder County Youth Core for getting our trails back to working order.  Also thanks to the city's contractor, DeFalco Construction Co. for their tireless efforts in re-building severely damaged sections of trail including two underpasses.

It is a happy day for all citizens of Lafayette and the Parks, Open Space and Golf Department.  We are pleased to announce the status of Coal Creek Trail as OPEN FOR USE.  Happy Trails!
