Waneka Lake Park is a recreational and wildlife refuge in a suburban setting.
Waneka Lake Park features playground structures, shelter facilities, picnic tables, benches, fishing areas, and a 1.2 mile fitness trail for walking, biking or running within its 147 acres.
Waneka Lake Boathouse provides paddleboat and canoe rentals in the summer months; however, this facility will not open in 2012 due to the drought conditions Colorado is experiencing. Restrooms and drinking fountains available year-round.
Dogs allowed on-leash.
Park Shelter Use Tip - Keep recycling an amenity the city provides in community parks by using the Eco-Cycle bins with blue lids ONLY for acceptable recyclables such as glass, aluminum, paper, cardboard, and plastic bottles. Please, no trash. Por favor, no basura. |
