Greenlee Wildlife Preserve is an oasis for avian species, fox, coyote and occasionally deer, and amphibians. Visit the viewing platform on the south side of the lake.
Greenlee Wildlife Preserve was created to:
- provide sanctuary for wildlife intolerant of the human activity at Waneka Lake
- protect native plants and vegetation valuable to wildlife
- be a link in the network of habitat areas used by wildlife moving through the region
- serve as an environmental education site for schools
