    May 24, 2017, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM @ Lafayette Skatepark

    Learn how to be safe while having fun on your skateboard! We welcome skaters of all skill levels. We will work on everything from learning how to stand and roll on your skateboard to challenging yourself with learning tricks. Please bring a skateboard, helmet (other pads recommended), water bottle, sunscreen and some good energy. A limited number of loaner boards are available.

  2. Baseball & Softball Registration Deadline

    May 24, 2017, 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM @ Bob L. Burger Recreation Center

    The Baseball/Softball program is an instructional program for boys and girls 9-11 years old who are progressing from softpitch, as well as players not ready for live pitch baseball. Age determined as of July 31. This division uses a pitching machine to help kids make the transition to baseball and softball. Using a pitching machine, the emphasis will be placed on participation and fun while focusing on skill development. Practices will be once or twice per week in the evenings. The season is based on a seven-game schedule with every effort to make up cancellations. Ages 9-11

  3. Softpitch Registration Deadline

    Softpitch is designed as a co-ed introductory league for those progressing from T-ball into pitched ball for the first time using a pitching machine. The ball will travel slower to allow for more success. A great way to introduce your child into the sport! Practice will be held once or twice per week in the evenings. The season is based on a seven game schedule with every effort to make up cancellations. Ages 7-8.

  1. Art and Ancestry Project

    May 24, 2017, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Senior Services

    Local artist and teacher, Lisa Michot, is coordinating this fun project. We will photo copy your photos, stories and memories to share and record your family history while contributing to a collaborative art piece. Please bring up to 3 memories that we will copy and add to the collage by June 30. In July and August we will assemble the mylar quilt/collage to display at the Senior Center during our September Senior Art Showcase. We hope you will participate in this phase, too!
