  1. Farm Stand at Thomas Open Space

    June 29, 5:00 PM - December 23, 7:00 PM @ Thomas Open Space

    The barn & land is leased by Isabelle Farm and will begin 2012 season sales on June 29 so be sure to stop by for fantastic food. Most crops grown in this region are not available for harvest until late summer. Therefore, Isabelle Farm typically opens the farm stand seven days a week from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, from early July through November/December. Come by for organic produce, plants, grass-fed beef, jams, soaps, home decor, and lots more.

    Have you ever wondered why the police do things the way they do?Have you been curious about the laws, policies and officer skills that are developed to keep you safe?Join us for a unique 9-week mini police academy.Citizens age 18 and older can apply.Pick up an application at the Lafayette Police Department during normal business hours.Applications will be available starting July 6 and be accepted until noon on September 7.Seating will be limited, so apply early!Criminal background checks will be completed on all applicants.For more information contact Crime Prevention Technician Robert Wilson.

  2. Santa Cop Program

    November 1, 8:00 AM - December 4, 5:00 PM @ Lafayette Police Department and Court Building

    The Lafayette Police Department hosts the Santa Cop Program every year.This program coordinates gift donations for families in need in our community.The police department hosts a party with refreshments and attended by Santa himself to give out gifts. If you know of or are a family in need this year, please stop by the police department to fill out a nomination form.Nomination forms are also available online.See link below. If you would like to help support this program you can donate new toys or make a monetary donation to the police department.Toy drop locations are also available at the Bob Burger Recreation Center, City Hall and the Public Library beginning November 1.Toys should be unwrapped please and for ages 2 - 15.

  1. Dia De Los Muertos Day Of The Dead A Celebration Of Life

    Celebrate the life of your loved ones that have passed away on this special Mexican Holiday. We will have a memory board set up to hang pictures to honor deceased family members and friends. Don’t miss being part of our annual celebration; this will be our fifth year!During these few weeks our display has become a true focal point in our center.Everyone who visits is drawn to it and daily visitors check each day to see the new pictures added.Join in--be part of it!

  3. VFW Sponsored Thanksgiving Dinner
