  3. Learn to Sculpt with a Well-Known Artist

    September 4, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Senior Services Center

    This class is an introduction to sculpture that is Bass in Relief and Portrait Style. You will work under the supervision of the artist and have the chance to cold cast your work once completed. If you choose, the artist will make a mold of your creation that you can cold cast for an additional fee. All supplied included.     Learn all about candles and candle carving at Lifetime Candles in Bennett. Delicious homemade desserts and beverages are served as part of your tour. Candles will be available for purchase.     Nature Hike at Walker Ranch. Discuss how the Walker Ranch/Eldorado Fire of 2000 affected the area's ecosystem. Difficulty Level: moderate to strenuous; 4-5 hour hike. Distance: 7.8 mile loop; around 900' elevation gain; not well shaded much of the trail so be prepared for the sun. Bring your own lunch, water and trail snacks. Registration is per person.   28. Elk Bugling in Estes Park

    Visiting Rocky Mountain National Park is a wonderful way to see the fall colors and elk bugling all in one trip. We will have an early dinner on your own at the Poppy's Pizza & Grill in Estes. (Price range $10-$15). Then experience the annual bugling of the elk. Make sure to dress for all weather conditions.
