Informing the Eye: Botanical Illustration for Science and Inspiration will be presented by Mervi Hjelmroos-Koski, Manager of School of Botanical Art and Illustration, and in coordination with the Denver Botanic Gardens show of The Illustrated Urban Garden at The Collective Community Art Center, which will hang from June 2 - June 30.

Lafayette City Council created the Human Rights Commission (HRC) in 2016. The HRC is committed to evaluating Lafayette City government, programs and processes with an inclusive lens, with a goal of fostering equity, social justice and freedom from fear of persecution based on race, religious belief, country of origin, sexual or gender identity, physical ability or age.
The group meets monthly in order to:
? Make recommendations to City Council on ways to improve inclusivity and diversity in the City of Lafayette
? Facilitate community conversations on issues and/or occurrences of division and conflict in the City of Lafayette, and to make recommendations for ways to resolve and eliminate these
? Research, study and make recommendations to City Council and staff regarding federal, state or local government actions that may have an effect on diversity and inclusiveness in the City of Lafayette.

Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga classes are all levels, traditional yoga classes taught on the water at Waneka Lake in Lafayette, on standup paddleboats. Classes, taught by a fully-qualified instructor, cover the basics of maneuvering on a board and the keys to accessing yoga postures on the waters. Enjoy learning while adapting to the motion of the board. Register on-line, at the Bob L. Burger Recreation Center, or on-site. Maximum 12 participants per class.

Local artist and teacher, Lisa Michot, is coordinating this fun project. We will photo copy your photos, stories and memories to share and record your family history while contributing to a collaborative art piece. Please bring up to 3 memories that we will copy and add to the collage by June 30. In July and August we will assemble the mylar quilt/collage to display at the Senior Center during our September Senior Art Showcase. We hope you will participate in this phase, too!
