Caesar Chavez Celebration Join in one of the largest Caesar Chavez celebrations in the United States. Special events run from March 16 - May 1 and include a march from Boulder to Lafayette, the play "Los Vendidos, a poetry cafe and poetry reading and much more.
Caesar Chavez was a Mexican American farm worker, labor leader, and civil rights activist who championed workers' rights.
Art on the Street 2010 Winners The 12 winners of the 2010 Art on the Street were chosen from a pool of over 50 sculptures from all over the United States. This year's winners include artists from Lafayette and other towns in Colorado, Texas, Wisconsin, Oregon and Pennsylvania. Sculptures will be unveiled in early Summer.
Art on the Street Sculptures for Sale Be the first to own an Art on the Street Sculpture! All sculptures currently located on S. Public Road are for sale to the public. Prices vary and include a 25% donation to the Public Art Committee for future projects.
Interested in purchasing a piece and donating it to the City? We'll take 25% off the purchase price and add a plaque with your name on it to the sculpture.

Come Enjoy the New Art Sculptures in Old Town! The Public Art Committee has dedicated their time and energy to the creation of a new program, "Art On The Street" in Old Town. All eight sculptures chosen for 2009 are currently installed along S. Public Road. The Public Art Committee has been awarded a grant from the Colorado Council on the Arts to expand the program to 12 sculptures in 2010.
