Youth Art Show
LCAC is proud to sponsor the annual Youth Art Show, January 9 - February 10, 2010 at the Library. Featuring art work from local students, the show is designed to encourage community awareness of the importance of arts education in our schools. Come take a look at the great talent in Lafayette!
Mobile Art Gallery at Angevine
The Cherry Creek Art Festival's Mobile Art Gallery is on exhibit at Angevine Middle School, February 10-25. Come tour original artworks on display. Open Community viewing nights will be February 24 and 25. Please contact Kerry Feiman via email or call 303/499-7383 to make tour reservations.
Arts in Education Grants Awarded
Thanks to everyone who submitted an LCAC Arts in Education mini-grant application. Eleven mini-grants, totalling over $3,500.00, were awarded to the following Lafayette schools: Sanchez Elementary; Angevine Middle School; Escuela Bilingüe Pioneer; Lafayette Elementary; Peak to Peak; Running River School and Ryan Elementary.
Art on the Street Sculptures for Sale
Be the first to own an Art on the Street Sculpture! All sculptures currently located on S. Public Road are for sale to the public. Prices vary and include a 25% donation to the Public Art Committee for future projects.
Interested in purchasing a piece and donating it to the City? We'll take 25% off the purchase price and add a plaque with your name on it to the sculpture.
