Prescription Drug Disposal Opportunity - New!
The Lafayette Police Department, partnering with the DEA, will be holding a Pharmaceutical Take-Back day at the Walmart parking lot on September 25. This program is in response to rising concerns about the potential harm to ecosystems and human health caused by improper disposal of medications. Law enforcement officials will dispose of the unwanted drugs in an environmentally friendly way. We encourage all residents to partcipate in this important program.
National Pollution Prevention Week - New!
September 20-26 is National Pollution Prevention Week. The best way to reduce pollution of all kinds is to eliminate pollution at its source: buy less, use less, and use wisely. Please check out EPA's Pollution Prevention Week website for more information.
2010 Water Quality Report
The 2010 Water Quality Report (Informe de calidad del agua) for testing done in calendar year 2009 is now available online. The City is proud to report that we had no violations during 2009.
Water Conservation Plan - New!
The Water Conservation Plan outlines the City's measures and programs to reduce water consumption in the city. This plan was accepted by the State of Colorado. Please contact the Public Works Department if you have any comments or ideas for future revisions.

After Hours Emergency Information
For matters requiring immediate attention (e.g., a sudden, pronounced drop in water pressure, no water at all, or a sewer backup) between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., call Boulder County Dispatch at (303) 441-4444 and ask them to page Public Works.
Ask Public Works
Do you have a questions about streets or utilities? Maybe you'd like to know something about our water and wastewater treatment processes or streets and sewer maintenance. Please ask. A member of the Public Works staff will respond to you within one business day.
Report a Problem
Traffic lights out? Street signs missing? Water pressure too high or too low. If you spot a problem, please bring it to our attention. Do not use this form to report problems on the state highway system. State highways through Lafayette include Highway 7 (Baseline east of Hwy 287 and Arapahoe west of Hwy 287), Hwy 42 (95th Streeet) or Hwy 287. Report a problem. To report a streetlight outage, visit Xcel's website or call 303-665-5588 ext. 3328 during regular office hours.
