Prescription Drug Disposal Opportunity - New!

The Lafayette Police Department, partnering with the DEA, will be holding a Pharmaceutical Take-Back day at the Walmart parking lot on September 25. This program is in response to rising concerns about the potential harm to ecosystems and human health caused by improper disposal of medications. Law enforcement officials will dispose of the unwanted drugs in an environmentally friendly way. We encourage all residents to partcipate in this important program.

National Pollution Prevention Week - New!

September 20-26 is National Pollution Prevention Week. The best way to reduce pollution of all kinds is to eliminate pollution at its source: buy less, use less, and use wisely. Please check out EPA's Pollution Prevention Week website for more information.

The 2010 Water Quality Report (Informe de calidad del agua) for testing done in calendar year 2009 is now available online. The City is proud to report that we had no violations during 2009.

Water Conservation Plan - New!
