City of Louisville staff is scheduling a temporary closure of Coal Creek Trail at Highway 42 (Empire Rd.) which will be in place approximately three weeks. The trail will be closed in Louisville between 96th Street and Aquarius Trailhead so that Urban Drainage and Flood Control District can clear the underpass of vegetation that is blocking flow of the creek along the Hwy 42 underpass. They will also be constructing concrete retaining walls on both sides of the waterway in an effort to keep the creek separated from the trail.
