Electric Vehicle Charging Station Upgrade

EV Charging Station

In its continued support for Electric Vehicle drivers and improved air quality, Lafayette is upgrading the EV Charging Station at the Library. The new station provides more benefits to drivers including a mobile app to locate and reserve stations, notifications and alerts when charging is complete and 24-hour assistance.  Project funding provided by Boulder County Sustainability Office Grant Program.

Electric Vehicles provide for cleaner and more affordable transportation options for residents and visitors using City services, and the charging stations are another step toward electrification of vehicles to help meet City-wide sustainability goals. Lafayette is happy to be able to provide this charging service at a price that costs less than a 40 mpg fuel-efficient car. Interested in Purchasing or learning more about Electric Vehicles? The charging station upgrade will be complete by mid-September. Learn more about Lafayette’s energy sustainability efforts.
