  1. Barrio E' Ineractive Performance

    October 18, 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM @ 990 S. Public Rd

    On Sunday, October 18, from 2:30 – 4:30, Barrio E' will perform for the community. Watch them dance, drum, and sing Puerto Rican bomba. Learn about Caribbean and Latin American cultures. A fun filled afternoon for everyone, no matter what your age, ethnicity, or background. Following the performance the audience to join in to experience traditional Caribbean and Latin American music and dances. The event and refreshments are free and open to the community. Brought to you by the Lafayette Cultural Arts Commission and made possible by a generous grant from ARTS!Lafayette.

  2. Strollers to be dedicated in Jean Mellblom’s memory

    October 31, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ 400 E. Simpson Street

    Strollers, a 6’ bronze sculpture by artist Pat Kennedy ,was installed at 400 E. Simpson Street as a permanent tribute to Jean Mellblom. The sculpture will be dedicated in a public ceremony on Saturday, October 31 at 11 am. The event, in the garden at 400 E. Simpson, will include live music, and a presentation by family members and Mayor Christine Berg. The public is invited to join this free event honoring one of Lafayette’s Arts Heroes.
