  6. Prescription Drug Take-Back Event

    Drug Enforcement Administration has announced its 10th National Drug Take Back initiative! This program provides convenient locations across the nation for the public to drop off excess, unused and expired controlled substances and other medications. The Lafayette Police Department will once again host a site and provide this service to residents at no charge. The DEA picks up all drugs obtained on collection day for safe disposal! Items which cannot be accepted during the take back event are needs & sharps, mercury, oxygen containers, chemotherapy/radioactive substances, pressurized canisters and illicit drugs.
