The Lafayette Cultural Arts Commission (LCAC) is seeking new members and alternates. The deadline to apply for full consideration is August 20. Although interviews will begin on August 25, applications will continue to be accepted until all members and alternates are selected.
LCAC is a citizen committee dedicated to developing, promoting, nurturing, and celebrating arts opportunities in Lafayette.
Members are responsible for:
Establishing goals and objectives for arts and cultural programs
Commission members are directly involved in supporting programs including:
Art Night Out
Local art shows
Arts in Education Grants
Arts in the Community Grants
Bringing special programming to the community
Member Requirements of LCAC:
Appreciate and value the important roll of arts and culture in a community
At least one year of Lafayette residency
Be registered to vote in Lafayette
Be able to attend meetings the fourth Tuesday at each month at 7 p.m. at the Lafayette Public Library.
Additional time may be required occasionally, based on current projects and programs
