Youth Advisory Committee
The Lafayette Youth Advisory Committee’s purpose and mission is to engage Lafayette youth in outreach, advisory, and educational opportunities through solutions-based discourse and action in their community and reciprocally, to promote understanding in the greater community as to the importance of youth leadership and civic participation. The committee may make recommendations, based on research and community-based dialogue, to the City Council on youth-related issues and other relevant topics.

Community Conversation on Inclusion
June 1, 2016
Community Room, Lafayette Police Department
The Lafayette Youth Advisory Committee will facilitate a community conversation on inclusion in the Community Room at the Lafayette Police Department (451 N. 111th St.) on Wednesday, June 1. Part of a series of dialogues, the conversation seeks to identify strategies and actions to promote diversity and inclusion in the greater community. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided by the Lafayette Police Department.
