I have taught and coached people big and small with a wide range of abilities. I love watching a child have the "A-ha Moment" and gaining confidence in the water, as well as seeing an adult overcome a lifelong fear.
I have experience working with all ages and abilities. I have worked with special needs kids, highly sensitive kids and kids that are afraid of the water. I have also worked with kids with limited mobility. Some challenges I have faced with my students have been the dislike of water on the face/ears, the dislike of water on the face directly and the dislike of water in the mouth,
I was a lifeguard and on the swim team, and both of my daughters are lifeguards and swimmers. I like teaching all ages, and adults. Mostly Beginner and advanced beginners in terms of level or skill. I have been teaching for almost 8 years.
I have worked with all ages; infants -adults. I've always enjoyed all levels, but recently have enjoyed teaching adults and and level three and up. I have experience and enjoy working with children of all abilities, including children with disabilities, such as autism, intellectual disability, physical disability and children who are hearing challenged.

I have experience working with all ages from a wide variety of backgrounds: beginners, stroke development and advanced swimmers. I have helped my students overcome fear of the water and as a competitive swimmer, coaching my students by helping them perfect all 4 strokes (Freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke) has not only allowed for them to become better, swimmers, but also enjoy spending more time in the water as well.
I have been with the City of Lafayette for 16 years teaching various age groups from 6 months to adult age. I love working with beginner swimmers of all ages who are just getting introduced to swimming. I also enjoy working with students who are developing strokes, to those who are just starting out or for those that are learning to swim laps for exercise.
